Since 1972, Mercy Medical Angels has been removing the barrier of travel for patients seeking medical care and treatments outside of their communities.  We provide charitable transportation on the ground and in the air.

 

Each year, we receive generous support from several major airlines for our patients. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, many of our patients were unable to travel this past year. This has left us with a surplus of Southwest Airlines vouchers.

 

These are now available to you when you make a $150 donation (one way) or $300 (round-trip) to Mercy Medical Angels. All donations will be used to provide vital funds for our mission.  Make the donation by clicking the button above and add "Travel for a Cause" into the comments section. You will receive an acknowledgement email that you can use for your tax records.

 

(We ask that you please read all the terms and conditions carefully for additional details before donating. Travel must be made prior to June 30, 2021)


 

Terms and Conditions:

  • A donation for a one-way voucher on any domestic Southwest flight (non-business class) can be made in the amount of $150 donation (one way) or $300 (round-trip) round trip, per person.  
  • Several Southwest destinations may require multiple one-way vouchers. For example, Hawaii may require several passes depending on where in the United States you are traveling from. Please check Southwest’s website for ticket requirements for specific destinations: www.southwest.com
  • No more than 10 vouchers per person. If you need additional vouchers, please contact sundae.oxley@mercymedical.org for approval. Please do not make the donation unless prior approval is received.
  • Prior to booking, look up your desired flight(s) on the Southwest Airlines website: www.southwest.com
  • If the flight is showing as available, we can book the flight for you.
  • All flight bookings require 72 hours’ notice prior to desired travel dates and will be booked through Mercy Medical Angels. All flights are pending availability.
  • **Requests are only processed Monday-Thursday, so you must submit ALL requests at least 72-hours prior to desired flight, especially for weekend flights.  Please note: this does not mean you can’t travel on weekend days; we are simply unable to process requests from Friday-Sunday, so plan accordingly.** 
  • Once your donation has been made, please allow 24-hours for your transaction to process and you receive a confirmation of your donation. After that, you may contact sundae.oxley@mercymedical.org with your flight request.
  • Please include the full name of all passengers as it appears on their identification used for boarding a flight.
  • Including: date of birth, gender, and contact phone number.
    ◦ Outbound/Return Date
    ◦ Origination and Destination airport
    ◦ Flight # and times 
  • The name on the donation submission must match the flight requestor.
  • All travel must be prior to June 30, 2021. No flights may be booked after this date, even if just the return.
  • All donations are non-refundable.
  • Mercy Medical Angels is not responsible for the airline cancellation of any flights. If the voucher is not used, it can be rebooked, as long as it is prior to June 30, 2021.
