Stories from Grateful Patients: Camila
In Her Family's Words...
"Camila was diagnosed with Medullablastoma (a type of brain cancer) in 2018. She went to St. Jude's for treatment, and was in remission for a few years. But in November 2022, the cancer came back. She has been going back and forth to St. Jude's for treatments, checkups, and scans ever since."
"We can't work remotely when Camila goes to St. Jude's and we don't get paid time off. So money is getting tight."
"Thankfully, Mercy Medical Angels' volunteer pilot program, Angel Flight Mid-Atlantic, is taking away some of our stress. They flew us from our home in Virginia to Tennessee so we could go to St. Jude's. We didn't have to pay a cent. Our pilot even took some time to pray with us."
"I have to say that the entire team is very respectful, kind, and generous. Thank you, Angel Flight Mid-Atlantic, for being a light in our family's dark time. We are very grateful for this amazing opportunity!"
