Stories from Grateful Patients: Cindy
In Her Own Words...

"My name is Cindy and I was first diagnosed with multiple myeloma on January of 2018. I have five children and a single parent. I have received two transplants and numerous chemotherapy sessions. Also I have gone through radiation and infusion for many years. I have also had three surgeries to address the cancer. I just recently received another transplant called Car-T. The goal of this new transplant is to put my cancer to sleep and so it can remain dormant for a long time and hopefully forever."
"Organizations like Mercy Medical Angels allow me to be able to travel to and from MD Anderson in Houston. It is approximately 5 and 1/2 hours from where I live and since I have been unable to work for a few years and makes it difficult financially for me to cover all of the expenses. I am very grateful to you all at Mercy Medical Angels and to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston while I go through my journey. I do not allow cancer to define me and thank you to God I'm still thriving and staying strong."
