Stories from Grateful Patients: Lisa

May 1, 2025

In Her Own Words...

"My name is Lisa. I live in Perry, Georgia. Recently doctors noticed blood in my urine and further tests revealed I had kidney disease. My original doctor quit practicing and left me with no records, so it's difficult to find care."

"Finally, I managed to get an appointment at Emory in Atlanta. Unfortunately, I couldn't afford gas for driving that distance. I'm on SSI and SSDI and I barely make ends meet as it is."

"Mercy Medical Angels was there for me in my time of need. I just have to tell them thank you for the gas card. Thanks to Mercy Medical Angels, I am able to access the care I need."
