Tiffani's Story

December 17, 2020
I was diagnosed in 2014 with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), unknown etiology. After years of tests and horrible medications, I only seemed to get worse. There is no cure for PAH except for a lung transplant. My pulmonologist referred me to Baylor University Hospital in Dallas, Texas. I needed to go for more tests to determine which autoimmune disease I have. I also need a right heart catheter and cardiac MRI to monitor treatment for PAH. Recently, I found I had a congenital heart defect, which is a hole in my heart. It required surgery.

Mercy Medical Angels helped me get to Baylor University Hospital by sending gas cards. The gas cards were such a huge help to me, especially since I’m on limited disability income. Mercy Medical Angels is an amazing organization. I truly appreciate all that Mercy Medical Angels does - they really are wonderful!
